Hours: Flexible hours weekly with required in-person attendance May 14th - 20th, 2025
Purpose and Job Description:
Paddlefest is a music and nature festival held in St. Andrews, New Brunswick every May long weekend. For 30 years it has been combining music & art, recreational and nature themed activities and community events for four days of fun and community on the shores of the Bay of Fundy. The Festival Assistant will assist the festival team in running festival operations by providing essential administrative and logistical support for event planning, marketing, event set up & production, artist relations, community engagement and much more.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Administrative Duties (filing documents, meeting minutes, etc.)
- Materials Preparation (painting, set design, etc.)
- Marketing & Social Media (creating graphics, scheduling posts, etc.)
- Community Outreach (volunteer recruitment, festival activations, etc.)
- On Site Operational Duties (festival site set up and tear down, etc).
Eligibility and Qualifications:
- Applicants must be in high school or university and returning to education in Fall 2025.
- Applicants must be able to conduct tasks in-person in Saint Andrews NB throughout the employment term.
- Applicants must be available in-person throughout the duration of the festival (May 14th - 20th).
- Applicants must have a valid NB Class 5 driver’s licence. Access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
- Strong interest in music and outdoor recreation is considered an asset.
- Experience with committees is considered an asset.
